Did you know? YCCA’s expanded Family Resource Center in West Sacramento provides a wide variety of services benefiting:

• West Sacramento Families
• Children ages 0-5
• Children ages 6-21
• Parents, Grandparents, Caretakers, Guardians
• Monolingual Spanish speakers
• Monolingual Ukrainian & Russian speakers
• Low income Families

In our new offices at Bryte Elementary, we provide:

Access to free and reduced cost health insurance, CalFresh, and other family assistance programs
• Referrals to West Sacramento resources
• Weekly free fresh fruit and vegetable distribution
• Free tax preparation assistance
• Weekly Playschool Experience classes for pre-schoolers

Parent Education classes and a mini lending library including books in English, Spanish, Russian

Through our partnerships with Kaiser Permanente, Communicare and the City of West Sacramento, we’ve established a Healthy Eating Active Living program that includes:

• Establishing a community of Community Health Workers (Promotoras)
• A park upgrade at Westfield Village Elementary (trees, playground, fence)
• Playworks, a recess and afterschool physical activity and social climate program
• Weekly Zumba classes at Alyce Norman & Westfield Village, in partnership with CommuniCare
• In partnership with United Way, we also manage a STAR Reader Program at Westfield Village Elementary.
