Child Abuse Prevention Council Bi-monthly Meeting
June 20 @ 9:00 am – 11:00 am

About the Child Abuse Prevention Council (CAPC):
Child Abuse Prevention Councils (CAPCs) of California are local community-based groups established to coordinate efforts that prevent and respond to child abuse and neglect. These councils serve as a bridge between public agencies, community-based organizations, service providers, educators, and families to promote safe, healthy environments for all children.
Yolo County Children’s Alliance (YCCA) is proud to coordinate and lead the Yolo County CAPC. Our role includes guiding local prevention strategies, promoting best practices in child welfare, and organizing impactful campaigns throughout the year—such as public awareness initiatives during Child Abuse Prevention Month, community education efforts, and resource development to strengthen family resilience.
The CAPC also serves as a collaborative platform to review local child abuse prevention efforts, discuss current challenges and trends, and align strategies to improve outcomes for children and families across Yolo County.
Meetings are open to the public and take place bi-monthly. Each meeting includes updates from key stakeholders, presentations on prevention programs, and planning discussions for upcoming initiatives.
