Community Health Initiative
Keeping Yolo County Families Healthy
Within the West Sacramento Family Resource Center, our staff is certified to assist individuals with enrolling in Medi-Cal, Covered California, and CalFresh. These programs are part of our region’s Community Health Initiative, ensuring that all individuals can receive medical coverage and assistance with food. In addition to these enrollment services, YCCA partners with the Yolo Food Bank to host weekly food distributions to an average of 350 families every Friday. These Food Distributions provide families with fresh produce, protein, shelf-stable food, dairy, and act as an outreach opportunity for an introduction to YCCA resources.
Enroll in CalFresh
The CalFresh Program, or SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program), provides monthly electronic benefits that can be used to buy most foods at many markets and food stores. These benefits allow your family to bring more nutritious food to your table!
Set up a free appointment to learn about CalFresh benefits, to enroll in CalFresh, or re-enroll by contacting our CHI team via email, or by calling our Family Resource Center at (916) 572-0560
Get Medical Coverage
YCCA’s staff are certified Covered California insurance agents, and support with MediCal enrollment and re-enrollment for free! To make an appointment and find the best coverage for your and your family, call the WSFRC at (916) 572-0560.
Stay enrolled, stay healthy!
